Concentration

Concentration arises from activities that fully engage the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of the personality. It is characterised by focused attention on a task, where thought and action merge seamlessly, often accompanied by evident joy in the process. Concentration develops and becomes a formative part of the child's growth through purposeful work that is freely chosen and repeated over time. The child is given the opportunity to complete the entire cycle of activity - from beginning to end - without interference or pressure to move on prematurely.
